Halifax Historical Society Museum Presents History at Halifax “Three Faces  of  Halifax Country’s Visual Arts”

The Halifax Historical Museum is very privileged to have three artists with exquisite talent contributing to our current exhibit. Joan Baliker, Marj Fiore and Laine Wyatt are known throughout Florida for their sculptor, painting and photography respectively. Joan is a member of the Florida League Women Artists Association and the Daytona Beach Art League. Joan is an Ordained Interfaith Minister, who says of her extraordinary sculptors, “My artworks are my ministry.” Marj is not only a beautiful painter, she is a photographer as well. Her trips abroad every year are the inspirations for her artwork. Marj is also a custom framing guru at Speedway Custom Photo Lab. Laine is an Associate Professor with the University of Central Florida where she has taught art/photography since 2000. Laine has exhibited her work in more than 120 exhibitions across the country and abroad and has won a number of awards for her individual works.

On Thursday, October 26 at 5:30 p.m., the Halifax Historical Society Museum will present a History at Halifax event. The three artists will speak about their artwork, their beginnings and why they do what they do. A meet and greet will follow their talks over wine and a light fare.
